Ring the bells and silence the beast in the shed. I have completed and submitted for review the sequel; Bulldog 2: And Dead Mouths Open.

This sequel follows immediately up on the events of Frank and Bucket from the Bulldog 1: Too Many Monsters, unravelling more of the mystery behind the invading force that has taken the UK by force. Its a zombie adjacent monster military thriller with elements of science fiction and human survival. 

I know every author you read or watch will fan the positive flames of their work with every release, but Bulldog 2 is a really enjoyable book. It has been fun to write, exhausting the edit and invigorating to see my work come to life again.

You will be able to pick it up on Amazon, either paperback or eBook as early as the 29th of this month. But I would recommend you take the time to read the shorter first entry into the series before hand so you can enjoy the terrifying tale of Frank and Bucket first. It builds the foundations for the world that the sequel can dance amongst.

I have an idea of a promotion for setting this book up to succeed in getting into your hands. It involves switching Bulldog 1: Too Many Monsters into a free gift over on Amazon for a short period of time. This should in theory get some eyes on the book that might have already missed it and build some excitement for the wonderful sequel that will have you shaking with fear and adrenaline. Its honestly a much scarier book. To the point that my wife, and I am not making this up, had to stop reading one passage because it was freaking her out too much before bed.

This is the fourth book I have completed and published via Amazon. It is perhaps in the top two for me personally, jostling for position with Organ (my first creation that rattled to number 1 on the Amazon charts for horror books). 

Anyway, I start my actual day jobs work week tomorrow, so I wont keep you much longer. Pick up Bulldog 1 for £0.99p now or wait for it to drop to free in the coming weeks. It has been a long journey and a lot of effort. 

But Bulldog 2: And Dead Mouths Open is now alive and will soon be stalking your nightmares.

 Bulldog: Too Many Monsters has been my most successful book release to date. Quickest summary possible for those unfamiliar with the story; its a dystopic military horror set in the United Kingdom after being invaded by an unknown army. Residents are plunged into sick contests to see if they can survive against the mysterious, horrifying, hordes of monsters the invaders have brought with them. That's the elevator pitch anyway.  I came up with the idea after having two dreams back to back that appeared identical, in similar vain as the mini-blurb above. Originally this was intended to be a short story, perhaps a couple of pages, instead this has morphed and oozed itself into a fleshed out series of horror books. New Life For This Stumbling Corpse

It's a Wednesday, the first in four weeks that I've had off, and guess what I did. I finally landed on that cursed mailing list that has been testing my patience and sanity for weeks. It's done. It's over. The beast of a chore is dead and buried six feet below alongside my aspirations to be a professional wrestler.  Oh, what could have been. I toyed with the ideas of Wix, Squarespace and yadda yadda yadda but none felt right. And if you follow my blogs (because I'm not present anywhere else) you'll know that I often make choices based solely on my gut.  I call it my caveman vibe, if it's off, that hairy ancestor of mine gives me warning and something I don't understand tells me to act.  I'm waffling already. Always Hungry

 It might just be the single greatest question I am yet to find an answer to in life. As much as I write, as often as I write and as often as I can publish books myself. Will that hunger to have my work recognised ever be satiated? (Brief aside. I am publishing via Amazon. Whether that holds more weight in my own personal thoughts on achievement or not, I have yet to cross that bridge in my mind.) This feels against every notion that I hold as my personal philosophy. I always tell myself that "I cant control what happens to me or what people believe about me, so why let that affect how I react to these things". But in reality I am my greatest enemy. I write and get satisfied or furious as myself for the outcome. With books like Organ, I loved the effort. The struggle was real to get my story finished and my first novel published. I am at the daunting midway point of a break from work. The days have trickled by as I mixed up seeing family, farting about in the local towns, playing Diablo 4 with the wife and finally getting my collective faecal matter together in the writing projects that lingered over my burnt out corpse. After having gone through stage zero of my eleven step plan to push book sales, and ideally become a more active writer and less active marketer, I have tidied up the established novels that I have published. Given them a fresh kick up the backside and turned my attention back to the always present task of finishing the Bulldog sequel (Bulldog 2: And Dead Mouths Open).  With the weight of this tarting up of my old works now complete, I have turned my attention to this unfinished follow up and the always nagging task of getting more visible reviews on Amazon to shift more books. Cancer Scare

Quick update to explain my absence from the blogs, these silly little blogs that are essentially just me screaming into the void all the thoughts I am too lazy to write-down in a journal by hand like the stoic figures of the old world.  Story time. Over the past two months, I have been dealing with an ongoing cancer scare. I discovered a mole that I tracked due to speedy growth on my rib cage; it was becoming itchy, painful, uneven and distorted in colour. It was hitting all the signs of suspicious moles/lesions.  Well, I popped into a doctor’s office and got myself checked out. After also being checked for some issues with my blood (which have come back clean just this morning), the d octor became concerned enough to send me onto dermatology in Loughton and slapped me onto the “Suspected Cancer Fast Track”.  There a week later I met with the dermatologist nurse, who promptly took photos and measurements.
